Job description

A rapidly expanding medical software company is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) to join its Vienna team. In this position, you will play a key role in delivering compliant, secure, and cutting-edge software solutions that make a tangible difference to millions of patients worldwide.

  • Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure solutions that empower engineering teams to independently build, deploy, and manage services

  • Design, implement, and scale robust continuous delivery systems covering build pipelines, automated tests, deployment workflows, and cloud environments

  • Continuously improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of server infrastructure

  • Optimize and streamline CI/CD processes to maximize efficiency and build quality

  • Rapidly respond to incidents and operational challenges to minimize downtime and impact

  • Establish and advocate for best practices in code quality, providing clear guidelines to support development teams

  • Enhance developer productivity by automating workflows, evaluating tools, and refining development and deployment environments

  • Lead efforts to migrate and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes and related cloud-native technologies

Job requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in DevOps or related roles such as Site Reliability, Platform, or Cloud Engineering

  • Strong expertise in configuring and managing AWS services like EC2, VPC, EKS, IAM, and RDS

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar platforms

  • Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

  • Proven ability to lead and support the transition to containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes

  • Excellent collaboration skills with experience working alongside developers, sales, and client teams

  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Ideally based in Vienna or willing to relocate quickly; EU citizenship or valid work authorization required

For candidates with more than 5 years of relevant experience, the gross annual salary starts at €75,000,— and is adjusted according to actual experience and expertise.
